Generate Ideas (Show by Doing)
Use the StudioOrganize Spreadsheet to go from a blank page to a shortlist of high-potential concepts in 20–30 minutes.
What you’ll use:
- Ideas Intake sheet (quick prompts + capture)
- Scoring Matrix (originality, viability, excitement, fit)
- Shortlist View (auto ranks your top 3)
Step 1 — Prime with constraints (3 min)
Define audience, tone, length, budget, and themes. Fill the “Constraints” cells at the top of the Ideas Intake sheet.
Step 2 — Burst generate (7 min)
Use the built-in “Prompt helper” dialog to spin 10–20 ideas. Each entry gets an auto-ID and timestamp.
Step 3 — Score fast (5 min)
Toggle 1–5 scores in the Scoring Matrix. The spreadsheet calculates weighted totals and color-codes winners.
Step 4 — Flesh out the top 3 (10 min)
Open the “Concept Sheet” template (auto-created) for each winner. Add logline, conflict, protagonist, hook.
Step 5 — Next actions
- Convert chosen concept → Scene/Beat Matrix
- Create a “Pitch PDF” export
- Duplicate project for variations
Tip: Save your constraints sets as presets so future ideation sessions start in seconds.
